Laurel Davis Crafted: Tulip Fields in Spring!

Welcome to the March 2022 blog hop! The theme for this blog hop is "Spring"!

Is there anything more beautiful than tulips in spring? Yes there is...Tulip Fields in Spring! I am of course referring to Stampin' Up!® Tulip Fields Bundle that provides the stamps and dies to create a beautiful scenery of row and rows of tulips so similar to those you would find in the Netherlands.

The Tulip Fields bundle provides two options to include three dimensional windmills. The option I used was the interactive version with blades that fit on the building using brads. It ACTUALLY SPINS!!!

Below are the measurements to make this beautiful card.

Early Espresso Cardstock - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" for the card base
Early Espresso Cardstock - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" for the foreground of the windmill, the bicycle and fences
Basic White Cardstock - 5 1/4" x 4", 3" x 3" for clouds and tree.
Very Vanilla Cardstock - 3" x 3" for the background to the windmill and sentiment

I first stamped the tulip horizon in So Saffron and then stamped the tulip rows in Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, and Fresh Freesia. Then I covered the field portion and used the blending brush to apply a subtle shade of Pool Party for the sky. I also stamped the clouds in Pool Party and fussy cut. I used Pear Pizzazz for the tree. The sentiment was stamped on Very Vanilla with Early Espresso.
