Laurel Davis Crafted: Tone on Tone with Flowers of Friendship!

Hello! July's blog hop is a focus on tone on tone with a pop of colour. It is an excellent opportunity to play with the gorgeous 2021-2023 In Colours from Stampin' Up!® I also featured a simple fun fold - the Easy Book Binding Fun Fold.

The tone on tone is reflected in the use of the Evening Evergreen cardstock, corresponding Evening Evergreen Designer Series Paper (DSPs), ribbon and stamping on the cardstock 3 7/8" x 4 1/8" (the book cover) with a stamp from the Flowers of Friendship stamp set.

More tone on tone is used even with the pop of colour! The pop of colour comes from the Fresh Freshia, Pale Papaya and Polished Pink inks used to stamp on the corresponding cardstock and shimmer paper with the flower stamps from the Flowers of Friendship stamp set.

I punched the flowers with the punch from the Flowers of Friendship bundle and arranged them around the sentiment. The sentiment was stamped with Evening Evergreen on Basic White cardstock that was cut out using one of the labels die from the Tasteful Labels die set.

For the inside, I again used Evening Evergreen for the sentiment with Polished Pink for the border stamp at the bottom.

Card base Evening Evergreen Cardstock 4 1/4" x 11", score at 4" and 5 1/2" (adhere the 1 1/2" area between the 5 1/2" and 4" score on the front to the back of the card)
Evening Evergreen Cardstock 3 7/8" x 4 1/8"
Designer Series Paper (DSP) 1 1/4" x 4 1/8" (for the book bind section)
Sentiment on cover - Thick Basic white cardstock 3" x 3" cut using Tasteful Labels die
Inside the card - Basic White 3 7/8" x 4 1/4"
